Alpacas in Italy

When applying for this house sit in Rassina, Italy, we were mesmerized by the fact that this woman had Alpacas.  Could we pull this off?  How difficult would it be?  Actually, they were very curious but yet shy creatures.  When we entered  their paddock, they would come running over very curious as to who we were.  But, they would shy away from being touched.  There was one that had been “doctored” quite a bit from having his eye removed.  He was used to people and loved to be petted unlike the other three.  As far as feeding them, the home owner had quite the routine.  Along with Hay, I was to cut up some vegetables in small pieces along with some “Alpaca food”.  No problems at all!

When in the country, expect to take care of quite a bit of chickens.  They are not a bother at all.  Fresh water and food everyday and that is it!  Besides,  will probably get some fresh eggs out of the deal!  Out of our eighteen  house sits, we have had three homes with chickens.  Did not have any problems with any of them and got lots of free eggs!

Never thought this one would happen, Saffron lives in the house.  The owner has a large pen in the kitchen.  She often lets the rabbit out to “stretch her legs”.  Seems like Saffron is having a bit of a problem making it to her litter box so we have her in the pen most of the time.  She is a sweet tempered little thing and we have enjoyed her.  Just one of the many Types of Animals on our Pet Sitting Jobs
