Eddie Bauer Down Jacket Review
Thank God I have a SMART Wife!
Before we headed to Europe, my wife insisted that we buy each of us an Eddie Bauer Down Jacket. Of course I balked as they seemed to cost a little more than I was used to spending on a jacket. However, she insisted and we went shopping for one. What we found were an Eddie Bauer Down Jacket for each of us. Here is our Eddie Bauer Down Jacket Review.
What were our Reasons for buying an Eddie Bauer Down Jacket?
- The brand name Eddie Bauer is synonymous with QUALITY
- Down Jackets are known to be warm
- Our jackets are very compact when stored
- My wife would add They look good”! (she got a pink one)
Any cons or “Problems” with our jackets?
I have to say right here, if you are going to buy one of these nice jackets, buy one with a hood! We generally wear a ski cap for warmth. However, we were caught out in the rain and wish we would have had a hood to pull over it. Be sure to get one with a hood!
What kind of weather did we experience with our jackets?
We are in Scotland right now. The weather has been crazy even by Scotland standards. Today, we experienced the following kind of weather. We woke up to light snow flurries with temperatures at about 34’F. We took the dog out for her walk and the snow stopped but we had wind gusts that dropped the chill factor into the twenties. This afternoon, we took off in sunshine with temps in the upper thirties. We arrived at Linlithgow Palace with a combination of sleet and snow with again wind and temps of 34’f. We waited and then said to hell with it and got out and toured the Palace anyway (did I mention that it has no roof?) I have to say the jackets kept us warm and dry! We have worn them everywhere! From England, to Wales to Scotland we have had them on.
